National Awards
The GACAANN Chapter won two National Awards at the NANN Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The awards were Chapter Retention and Recruitment and Chapter Communications.
We are very proud of our chapter for this great accomplishment.

Important news from the Chapter
NANN Conference in TEXAS.
Gail Cantrell and Darlene Williams traveled to Austin TExas for the 25th Anniversary of the National Association of Neoantal Nurses. What a wonderful time they had seeing old friends and making new ones. As always the conference was wonderful, sessions were informative and the fun was endless. From new NRP guidelines to Pain Management, from Death and Dying to the Survival after Katrina. Each speaker brought such wonderful information to the table for all nurses to learn. From dancing to the 80s to "seeing through rose colored glasses", each participant left with a sense of urgency to spread the knowledge to all their coworkers. Both say they are excited about the prospects of Neonatal Nursing in the future.

LINENS FOR RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
GACAANN Chapter members have been collecting linen for the Ronald McDonald House in Augusta, Georgia. Today, members of this chapter delivered 55 pounds of white linen to the house. Linen included: White towels, washcloths, hand towels, sheets, dishtowels etc....
More linen is expected to be collected and will be delivered as soon as we get it.
Thanks to all Chapter members and other helpers for your donation to the Ronald McDonald House. It was most appreciated.

GACAANN Membership Cards
As with every new organization, there have abeen a few growing pains along the way. We have updated our GACAANN Membership cards to allow for our new Insignia. All current chapter members will be receiving the new GACAANN Membership Cards within the next month. It is very important that you are current on your dues. If you are not current, please send in your dues today. This chapter is a wonderful way for all members to receive the most up to date information about Neonatal nursing. As well as getting leadership experience and enjoying making friends from across the two state. So renew today!!!
